A Glass Moon and a Paper Bag

I thought I was looking at
A harvest moon

But it was just because
I was wearing someone’s glasses

And the moon looked so big
That I thought it would crash
Against the skyscrapers and rain

Glass, metal, Lucite, and cheese
From that section eight tower
Above Market Street…

And the homeless would be indifferent

And the hipsters would act indifferent

But I would just look different

And probably a little bit smarter

Because of the glasses
I was wearing
